Planet Products Corporation live tooling features liquid cooled double angular contact bearings, allowing longer maintenance intervals and greater accuracy over the life of the tool.
How does it work? Planet has over a decade of experience using with coolant lubricated bearings in hydraulic motor machine tool applications. Extensive test data shows that the lubricity and constant flow of the coolant keeps the bearings at a constant temperature which reduces wear and allows closer assembly tolerances than with conventional grease sealed bearings.
