March 9, 2012 - Planet Products Issued Patent for Driven Tools
Planet Products Corporation has been issued a United States patent for driven live tools used on CNC lathes. The patent covers a liquid cooled and lubricated tooling design, allowing consistent performance regardless of duty cycle. “Our tools are used in very demanding applications requiring high precision and accuracy in a production environment” states Garth Dexter, General Manager. “The bearings are kept cool with continuous lubrication, allowing the tools to be manufactured to closer tolerances. This maintains accuracy longer, dramatically improving service life.”
